THE GIVING LAUNCH

WELCOME

Welcome to our fundraising event! We are excited to share with you the vision and mission behind our initiative, and we hope you will join us in supporting this important cause. In 2018, a dream was born, a vision to create a comprehensive performing arts program that would benefit homeschooling students, offer skill-specific courses, and extend opportunities for hands-on experience. Our aim was to build a cohesive program that spans early education through adulthood, a program that was previously unavailable in our community.

Our Vision

Our vision has been two-fold. First, we set out to define learning goals that will equip homeschooled students with the knowledge and experience needed to pursue their desired paths after high school. Second, we aim to provide opportunities for students to work alongside seasoned performers, gaining rich experience while thriving in a wholesome, and ministry-focused environment. We also open our doors to the surrounding community, alumni, and families, fostering a lifelong love for the performing arts.

The Challenge

Producing high-quality performances comes with significant costs and logistical challenges. Each production can require between $15,000 to $25,000 to bring to life. Production rights, which are essential, can range from $3,500 to $6,000 and can increase if we decide to add more performances. We also pay production rights for each title we produce, and every show incurs additional costs.

OUR COMMITMENT TO accessibility

We strive to make our programs accessible to as many people as possible, which means keeping tuition rates and admission fees affordable. Achieving this requires careful stewardship of our resources and diligent planning, but there's always more we can achieve. Our commitment to affordability means that we rely on the generosity of our supporters to bridge the financial gaps.

Behind the Scenes

Putting on a performance is no small feat. It requires a minimum staffing of eight professionally skilled individuals and often increases to 12. We share the use of Northwood's equipment, but we also take on the responsibility of replacing items as needed and purchasing additional equipment.

Funding Needs

The costs of putting on a performance are extensive and include production rights, music, instrumentals, staffing, digital resources, advertising materials, microphones, audio supplies, lighting, special effects, costume design, costume materials, costume storage, set design, set construction, tools, wood, transportation, storage, administrative fees, printed materials, communication materials, organizational tools for non-profits, and building use and cleaning.

Community Impact

We've been fortunate to serve our community in many ways, benefiting a broader range of people. Administrative tools and staffing are necessary to continue the level of organization and caliber of learning and performance that our growing community demands.

YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

If we want to realize this vision and do it well, it requires a united community effort of leadership, volunteers, and resources. Your support can make a significant impact on the lives of countless students and their families. By contributing to our cause, you are helping us build a brighter future for performing arts education and strengthening our community's cultural foundation.
